Privacy Notice on the Protection of Personal Data

As Palmiye Mobilya Sanayi Ltd. Şti. (the "Company"), acting as data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (the "Law"), we would like to inform you about the personal data obtained through our websites and quotation forms.

2. Personal data processed

  • Identity: first name, last name
  • Contact: telephone number, e-mail address, city/country
  • Customer transaction: company name, product group of interest, request and project description
  • Transaction security: IP address, date and time of form submission
  • Marketing (only if you give consent): contact details for campaign and information messages

3. Purposes of processing

  • To evaluate your quotation request, prepare a quotation for you and contact you
  • To carry out pre-sales processes for the products and services you request
  • If a contract is concluded, to carry out sales, production, delivery and after-sales processes
  • To ensure information security and to prevent misuse and unsolicited submissions
  • To fulfil our legal obligations
  • If you give consent, to send commercial electronic messages about our campaigns, products and services

4. Method of collection and legal grounds

Your personal data is collected electronically through the quotation and contact forms on our websites and is processed on the following legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the Law:

  • Processing is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract (quotation and sales processes)
  • Processing is necessary for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligations
  • The legitimate interest of the data controller, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (information security)
  • Your explicit consent (only for sending commercial electronic messages)

5. Transfer

Limited to the purposes above, your personal data may be shared with legally authorised public institutions and organisations (upon request), with our legal and financial advisers, and with the suppliers from whom we obtain hosting, e-mail and information technology services. As the servers of these service providers may be located abroad, your data may be transferred abroad in accordance with the procedures set out in Article 9 of the Law. Your data is not sold and is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Retention period

  • Quotation requests that do not result in a contract: 2 years from the date of the request
  • Requests that result in a contract: for the periods required by the applicable legislation (10 years for commercial records)
  • Consents for commercial electronic messages: 3 years from the withdrawal of consent

At the end of these periods your data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under Article 11 of the Law, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; to request information if it has been processed; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose; to know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Turkey or abroad; to request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate; to request its deletion or destruction under the conditions set out in the Law; to request that these actions be notified to the third parties to whom it has been transferred; to object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems; and to claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

8. Application

In accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, you may submit your requests in writing to the address above, from the e-mail address registered in our system to palmiyeamobilya2024@gmail.com, or by registered electronic mail (KEP), secure electronic signature or mobile signature. Your applications are concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
